"I can work unexpectedly long hours and travel for business. So I make a point of looking for relaxation at a spa in or near my hotels. But finding an appropriate quality spa wasn't always easy," adds Josée. "What I wanted was the easiest way to find a spa for the city I am in, book a hotel, have the two in the nearest location, and find a good deal."
That's why Josée founded SpaAndTravel.Com, Your #1 Spa and Hotel Information Source. SpaAndTravel.Com is an easy-to-use search engine solely dedicated to spas and hotels that helps people find spa packages, spa services, hotel rooms and romantic getaways. It provides extensive listings so that everyone can browse the best in day spas and hotels.
As a busy entrepreneur who travels for work, Josée knows the right spa experience can be invigorating and rejuvenating. "When a spa treatment is extraordinary, I float on clouds, I feel relaxed - not only physically; my mind is also relaxed."
It's a feeling she wants to share with others. "If a hotel has a spa, all the better; if not, I want to be able to find a spa near my hotel in a quick, easy search." Becoming CEO and President of SpaAndTravel.Com was the natural next step of Josée's career, which spans twenty years in the beauty industry.
Having completed a college degree in Humanities in Montréal, Josée, fascinated by the world of fashion, worked as a model for a few years before embarking on a career in makeup design.
Josée built herself a steady freelance business of clients and events, ranging from Toronto & Montreal Fashion Week to theatre, from television, such as Project Runway Canada, to movies. Josée enjoyed the freedom and flexibility of self-employment, which also comes with a hectic schedule and demanding environments. Visiting day spas help her relieve stress and revitalize her body and soul.
Now, she is sharing her wealth of spa experience with you in this unique search engine. Josée started SpaAndTravel.Com as a site to match people looking for a trusted, soothing and relaxing spa experience, with their desired spa services in their city of choice - at a discount.
"I knew what I wanted: a website and search engine where I can find things easily. A comfortable hotel, the right massage, in a real spa; a good deal on a facial or a pedicure in the city I'm in."
Since 2006, she has been steadily growing the site, carefully selecting spas to add to SpaAndTravel.Com. "We started with going to spas in Toronto, doing our research by evaluating the service offered, their reputation, cleanliness and quality of their facilities and their staff."
SpaAndTravel.Com now lists and links you to spas and hotels in Vancouver, Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa, Montreal, New York, and is in the process of developing the website for the rest of Canada and the U.S.A. "Eventually, we want to conquer the world!" jokes Josée.
